Amarillo police were called to the Home Depot yesterday.  When they arrived they found two employees and a citizen detaining an alleged shoplifter on the ground.

Police allege Ricardo Fernandez took over $200 in items from the store.  He was confronted by a loss prevention employee and was allegedly assaulted with wire.  A second employee got involved and was threatened with a stabbing, although no knife was being displayed.

A citizen noticed the incident and assisted the store employees detain Fernandez until police arrived.
