Saturday Morning Shooting Injures One

Saturday morning Amarillo Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 2400 block of Line Avenue.

Upon arrival the authorities found a 24-year-old victim with a bullet wound in the upper back.

A witness told the authorities that the suspect came to the front door and started knocking.  After the knock went unanswered the suspect then broke out a window next to the door a fired several shots into the apartment.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The witness was not injured.

The suspect is known to the victim and witness.  The incident is being treated as a domestic violence incidents.  The APD is still investigating the incident.

There have been no arrests made at this time.
