Amarillo Police investigating possible narcotics activity found exactly what they were looking for on Friday.

The authorities went to a room at the Estess Motel at 3511 Amarillo Boulevard.  They checked three tenants in one of the rooms for wants and warrants.  The female tenant of the room, 26-year-old Kayla D'Nae Swaim was wanted for a misdemeanor warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to police a meth pipe was seen on the table in the motel room and Swaim was taken into custody.  When she was searched she was allegedly holding 7.5 grams of meth hidden on her person.

A male occupant of the room, 30-year-old Tabyron Jacobi Boxten was detained while an APD K-9 walked around his vehicle and alerted to narcotics inside.  Officers found a small amount of marijuana in the console.  A further search of Boxten allegedly revealed around 18 grams of meth in his clothes.  They also found a baggie with around 6 grams of meth on the bed inside the motel room.

Boxten and Swaim were both booked into Potter County.  A third person in the room was released and not charged.
