A Texas DPS trooper interdicted a coast-to-coast marijuana haul.

Early Saturday morning around 1:20am a DPS trooper stopped a SUV traveling east on I-40 near Conway for a traffic violation.

During the stop the trooper searched the vehicle.  Inside he found tow large duffel bags filled with vacuum sealed packages of marijuana.  All together the contraband weighed 50 pounds and was valued at more than $303,000.

The driver, 47-year-old Truong Nguyen of West Valley, Utah was taken into custody and charged with felony possession of marijuana.  He was taken to the Carson County Jail.

According to the troopers the pot was being transported from Oakland, California to and unknown city in North Carolina.
