Northwest Texas Healthcare System offers the most advanced tool for certain surgeries in the area.

Northwest Texas Healthcare System has been using the state-of-the-art da Vinci Robotic Surgical System SI for cardiac thoracic surgeries.  The Director of Cardiac Thoracic Surgery, Doctor Kevin Mayor has been taking advantage of the ground breaking technology.  Mayor is the first surgeon in the Northwest Texas region to use a two-part robotic machine for a non-cardiac thoracic procedure.

The system provides a view of the working area 10x that of normal vision, renders a 3-dimensional view, and allows for precise surgery with a lower wound profile.

The co-owner of Panhandle Weight Loss Center, Dr. Bleu Schniederjan has been using the da Vinci Robotic Surgery System SI for bariatric surgeries.

Together they are some of the first physicians on the High Plains to offer the option of having some or all of their procedures performed with the assistance of the robotic system.
