I've got a love/hate relationship with NASCAR.  After over ten years of ardent love I'm in a pretty significant hate patch right now.  Something about three hours of parade laps before they actually do any racing has something to do with the current state of my NSACAR opinion.

Apparently I'm not alone.  Fans are leaving NASCAR in droves.  Attendance at the track and television ratings are down across the board.

If you are not a follower of NASCAR it might surprise you that our government spends hundreds of millions of dollars per year sponsoring cars.  Is this a good idea?

Jerry Doyle, heard overnights on The New 940 tackled this issue on his show.
