‘Iron Sky’, The Sci-Fi B-Movie Of Nazi Astronauts On The Dark Side Of The Moon Packs In Crowds At Berlin Film Fest
Many people deplore the sad state of Hollywood and its lack of new and creative ideas. Hollywood would never fund a movie about a splinter group of space-faring Nazi's that escaped to the dark side of the moon only to invade Earth in 2018. I sure wish they would.
They were beaten to the punch on this idea by Timo Vuorensola, who generated much of the financing for the film among fans online. People heard of the idea, donated to see it made and now the B-movie is a reality.
It debuted at the Berlin film festival over the weekend and is drawing big crowds.
The movie was made on a budget of 7.5-million-euros ($9.9-million).
