I-40 Accident Involving Head On Collision With Semi-Truck Kills 3

Three were killed Sunday when the driver of a semi truck crossed into oncoming traffic.

A 2012 Peterbilt traveling on i-40 about 9 miles west of Conway was being driven by Jorge Alberto Contrereas, 62 of California.  He suffered what is being described by what is being called a "medical episode".  His truck crossed into the westbound lanes and struck an oncoming 2015 Chevy Equinox.  After hitting the Chevy the semi continued past the access road, went through a fence and came to rest in a field.

All three people in the Equinox were pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver of the semi was from California.  The deceased were from Lakewood, Washington.
