Homeless Veterans In Amarillo Rising

The Department of Veteran Affairs has released some disturbing numbers on Amarillo's homeless.

10 percent of America's homeless population are veterans.  In Amarillo that number is much higher, 39 percent of our homeless also served our country.  The Department of Veteran's Affairs has set a goal of zero percent of our homeless population be made up of veterans.

The Veterans Affairs Department has a variety of ways to assist the homeless veterans in our area.  Services have dramatically improved over the last ten years and our country is ready to assist those that have given so much to us.
