Hailstorm Causes Major Damage To Amarillo Botanical Gardens

The thunderstorm and hail that tore through Amarillo late Tuesday and early Wednesday caused major damage to the plants at the Botanical Gardens.

Hail damaged 90% of the plants outside.  The glass conservatory was unharmed but there was flood damage to the gallery.

Volunteers had planted the areas that were destroyed.  The Botanical Gardens is looking for volunteers to replant if you'd like to help.
