Don't let your boss short you for a long night last weekend.

If you worked the night shift you know all too well you worked that extra hour.  And it is worth it to know your company's policy on how they handle the extra hour before you get paid.

And don't let your boss tell you it will work out in six months when you get paid for an hour you didn't work or that they simply don't have to compensate you.

According to the US Department of Labor the Fair Labor Standards Act requires that employers compensate employees for actual hours worked, regardless of whether or not one repeated.
