Amarillo police have arrested a recent Fugitive of the Week.

Officers on patrol observed a wanted stolen vehicle in the 1600 block of Amarillo Boulevard East on Tuesday a little before 9am.  Officers then observed wanted felon 57-year-old Dallas Moore get into the vehicle.

After moving a short distance officers moved in and took Moore into custody.  Officers also found a small caliber pistol in his possession.  Moore was transported to the APD.

During transfer from the car to the building the handcuffed Moore managed to break free from his escort and fled the area on foot.  He was eventually corralled in the middle of South East 3rd Avenue where he was in the middle of the street, still wearing handcuffs.

Moore was later booked into Potter County Jail for a litany of charges.  He was arrested for two warrants of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a felon, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, and an escape charge.
