In a little over two weeks we're going to get a fireworks fix two years in the making.

Surviving cancer last year was a big deal for me and I was looking forward to appreciating 4th of July fireworks more than I ever had.

We all know what happened or didn't happen last year.  We've gotten plenty of rain this season and the big air bursts are going to happen.  Firework stands will also be open this year for your private popping.

There are some changes thanks to a new county ordinance passed last year in response to the dry conditions.  All your favorites will be available for sale with the exception of bottle rockets and finned rockets.  Those have been deemed unsafe and illegal to sell anywhere near you.

Additionally remember fireworks are banned in the city limits and carry up to a $2,000 fine, which is almost as much as some will spend at the stands.
