When you think of the Alamo you think about all of the history that has happened there. I learned all about it in the seventh grade, Texas History. That was the year I moved to Texas. Nothing like a crash course in everything Texas.
We have had several food trucks in Amarillo that went from being a food truck and then decided to make the move to a full-fledged restaurant. We have never had a bus do the same thing. Until now.
Several people who claim to be current or former McDonald's employees have recently shared the restaurant chain has "hidden" cameras in its drive-thru lanes.
Last summer it finally dawned on me Amarillo was missing this one major convenience. This one thing I know would make my life easier. Oh, and I know I am not alone. When I would make the trip to Dallas we would always take some time to fill up my daughter's five-gallon water jugs.
These are the stories that make our nightmares real in Texas. This Texas family is living it. Of course, it doesn't matter how old your kids are things like this should never happen. As your child grows and starts living their own lives you never stop worrying as a parent.
Walking around Westgate Mall I notice all of the stores. I think about what used to be there. Oh, I really miss The Disney Store. I remember taking my daughter to Justice. That was one of her favorite stores until she grew up.
Growing up I spent many days enjoying the city pools. Southwest Swimming Pool was the one where my mom would drop me and my sister off many days. We had so much fun. To this day certain songs I hear on the radio remind me of those days.
