Fall is a fun time in Amarillo.  Football, the fair, the cooler weather and pumpkins.   Pumpkins are the mascot of fall and the time is now to celebrate the pumpkin.   The Amarillo Botanical Garden has the perfect way to celebrate fall and the pumpkin at PumpkinFest.

PumpkinFest is an event for the kids.   The best part about PumpkinFest, other than the pumpkins, is parents get in free (unless you want to eat).

Pumpkin experts at the Amarillo Botanical Gardens have gone out and scoped out different pumpkins to find the perfect pumpkins for Pumpkin Fest.   They wanted to have the best of the best to celebrate.

Because the Amarillo Botanical Gardens loves pumpkins, they wanted to celebrate earlier this year.

PumpkinFest will be on Saturday, September 22nd.  The event will take place from 10am - 2pm

Kids will get to enjoy fun activities including face painting, pumpkin painting, bouncy houses, games, and more.

They will also have a pumpkin carving contest for all ages.  The carved pumpkins must be submitted to the Amarillo Botanical Gardens by 3pm on Friday, September 21st at 3pm.  The winning pumpkin will receive a family membership to the Amarillo Botanical Gardens

Cost for PumpkinFest is $10 per child, parents get in free unless parents want to eat then it will be $5.

Plus, fall is an amazing time at the Amarillo Botanical Gardens.  Make plans to come and enjoy the beauty of the gardens in the Fall.  The Gardens have spectacular views and they change with the seasons so make it a point to at least once during the Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer.
