The Food and Drug Administration has issued a warning to users of Excedrin, Gas-X, Bufferin, NoDoz and other Novartis products after a strange issue at a factory.

The list of affected medications is just long enough and random enough to effect just about everybody.

The issue stems from problems at a now shut down manufacturing plant in Nebraska.  The Swiss drugmaker has recalled bottles of Excedrin, Bufferin and other medications.  Potentially powerful and dangerous prescription pain drugs have accidentally found their way into several over-the-counter medications.  The mixed in pills include Percocet, Endocet, Opana and Zydone.

Novartis has voluntarily recalled packages of Excedrin and NoDoz with expiration dates of December 20, 2014 or earlier and for Bufferin and Gas-X products with expiration dates of December 20, 2013 or ealier.

As always, look at the pills you're popping to make sure they're what you want!
