We were up to our regular Saturday shenanigans over the weekend.

It's the show that invites you to call in and buy, sell, and trade.  We do it every Saturday.  It costs nothing to participate and you have everything to gain.  Like a clean garage and a bit of cash.  Make the free phone call next Saturday.

THE BIG QUESTION

We ask all our callers a poll question before they give their items.  It helps us get to know our callers better and provides a stream of thought throughout the show and ties our callers together.

Every year that we've been doing Trade-A-Thon, we've asked you to help us pick the winner of the Super Bowl.  We take your votes and use them to project the score.

Super Bowl 50, who will win, Denver or Carolina

Denver 19

Carolina 13

Projected score: 33-26 Denver

We were dead on with the winner as Denver defeated Carolina 24-10 in Super Bowl 50 last night.  It was a good game and a fitting end to the football season.

RULE #6

Along with the regular rules of the program I always bring you a special Rule #6.  It changes every week.  Sometimes it is inspired by something that happened to me over the previous week.

My dad likes to tell a good story and growing up I witnessed him do so quite often.  It was not unusual for me to hear him tell the same story to nearly ten different people over the two days.  It used to annoy me highly.

As an adult I notice I inherited this trait.  I do love to tell a story and I enjoy retelling a story, refining the telling a little bit each time.  I've been known to be a little wordy on Facebook too.

Last week I posted a diatribe to my Facebook page and like most things I post to the social networking site, I quickly forget I posted and move on with life.

I was with some real world friends later in the week and I tried to pull out one of my stories and everyone in the group, almost in unison said, "yeah, I saw that on Facebook".

Rule #6: Don't post your best stories to Facebook.

See you Saturday for another Erwin Pawn Trade-A-Thon!
