Amarillo police were called to the scene of a drive-by shooting Sunday.

Officers originally thought it was a disorderly conduct call but quickly determined a drive-by shooting had occurred in the  1400 block of Highland.  The 20-year-old victim told officers a green Dodge Challenger approached him and then the black male driver began firing.

The victim was shot in the arm and transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The assailant had fled the area before authorities arrived.

Officers believe the shooting is linked to a previous dispute between the parties.  There have been no arrests and the investigation continues.
