DPS Seize Cocaine And Marijuana After Traffic Stop On I-40
Another DPS traffic stop on I-40 ends with seizure of illegal drugs.
Yesterday the DPS pulled over a recreational vehicle on I-40 near Carson County. The stop occurred around 5:30pm on the eastbound lane for a traffic violation.
During a search of the vehicle the DPS trooper discovered 47 bundles of marijuana and two bundles of cocaine hidden in the floor of the RV. The cocaine was valued over $150,000 and the marijuana was valued at more than $200,000.
Ignacio Hernandez of Fowler, California was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, a first degree felony and booked into Carson County. The drugs were allegedly being transported to Oklahoma City.
