Another I-40 traffic stop turns into a drug interdiction on I-40.

Tuesday night around 10:30pm the DPS pulled over a 2003 Toyota Camry on I-40 near Conway.  During a search of the vehicle troopers discovered tape wrapped bundles of heroin attached to the gas tank.

The two occupants of the vehicle, 33-year-old Maria Gembe, from Avondale, Arizona and 35-year-old Lucia Ceballos, from Killeen, Texas were both arrested.  They were charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and booked into the Carson County Jail.

The drugs had an estimated street value of nearly $350,000.  The heroin was allegedly being transported from Arizona to Kansas City, Kansas.
