A very hectic Erwin Pawn Tradio Show last Saturday.  It even included our first auction.

You may have heard the Amarillo Police Department's S.W.A.T. team was called into action over Easter weekend and the only casualty was the listening device from their robot, which was hacked off with a hatchet by the suspect in question.

Friend of the show, Foghorn went to the crime scene and recovered the damaged goods. We decided to auction the piece of Amarillo law enforcement history and donate the money the people living in the house.  They need some help paying for crime scene cleanup.  All because of their crazy brother-in-law and who doesn't have one of them?

The highest bid was $40 and the device is now in private hands.

THE BIG QUESTION

We posed a question of confection to all the callers to the program.  I notice as I get older I like cake less and cookies more.  Cookies seem to keep longer and I really appreciate the convenience; no slicing, dirty fork and plate.  I was curious if any of you felt the same.  It was almost split down the middle but cake won the day 19-18 over cookies.

RULE #6

Each week I bring you a special Rule #6.  It comes from many areas of my life and this week it was based on a mistake I made.  My primary job isn't Tradio, it's producing the local commercials you hear on our stations.  I recorded a client for a spot on Tuesday but was in a hurry and forgot to save it.  The client had to come back up on Friday evening to rerecord it and honestly, I'm mortified.  This is a major faux pas in the radio business and apologies have been extended to all involved.  Benefit from my mistake:

Rule #6: Don't get in a hurry, speed kills.

See you next Saturday for EPTS!
