The City of Amarillo is inviting the community to attend a public meeting on Thursday to go over upcoming pump station and water pipeline projects.

The City said the meeting will provide an overview of the upcoming projects including enhancements to the Arden Road Pump Station Improvements and Pipeline Installation projects consist of enhancements to the Arden Road Pump Station and installation of a pipeline from the Osage Water Treatment Plant to Arden Road.

According to the City, the project is expected to start in March.

City staff and the design engineer on the project will be at the meeting to answer questions, which is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 25, at 6:30 p.m. at the Southwest Branch Library. The City said they encourage residents to attend in order to gain more information about the projects.

The $13,879,793.32 contract was awarded to S.J. Louis Construction by the Amarillo City Council. According to the City, that contract includes provisions to help minimize the impact to neighborhood traffic but residents in that area may still want to find alternate routes at various times throughout the project.
