On Thursday, July 14th, the Amarillo community is invited to gather at the Old Potter County Courthouse (501 S Fillmore) to honor the fallen police officers from Dallas.

Stand 4 LEOs is a non-profit organization set up to help support law enforcement officers and the community. They will hold a candlelight vigil and moment of silence for the five officers who were killed in Dallas on July 7th during a Black Lives Matter protest.

It will start at 8pm and they will have candles and shirts available. They will be accepting donations, cards, drawings, and notes to send to Dallas.

Check out the Stand With Dallas event Facebook page for more information.

Eleven total officers were injured on Thursday evening. The alleged gunman, Micah Xavier Johnson, was killed by a robot bomb used by the police.

Our prayers to all the families and friends that have been affected by the Dallas shooting and other unfortunate deaths this week.
