If you're around St. Louis and you hear Laura Branigan blaring out "Gloria" on the radio, it can only mean one thing:

The St. Louis Blues are the Stanley Cup Champions.

The Blues moved to 10-3 on the road in the playoffs with a 4-0 win over the Boston Bruins to win game seven and hoist the Cup as Champions for the first time in franchise history.

Ryan O'Reilly, named the winner of the Conn Smythe Trophy as the Finals' Most Valuable Player, was first to score for St. Louis on assists from Jay Bouwmeester and Alex Pietrangelo with 3:13 left in the first period and Pietrangelo got a goal of his own, assisted by Jaden Schwartz with just :07 remaining in the first.

After a scoreless second period, St. Louis put the game away in the third on goals by Brayden Schenn with 8:35 left and Zach Sanford with 4:38 remaining.

Boston finally got on the board with 2:10 left on a goal by Matt Grzelcyk.

The song by Branigan, who died in 2004 of a brain aneurysm, was adopted by the team and the fans midway through the season and was played after every win.

It will be a song beloved by Blues' fans until the end of time.

Boston outshot the Blues 33-20 but goalie Jordan Binnington was up to task for the Blues, who lost 5-1 on their home ice in game six.
