The government sequester has left many people at Pantex and Bell Helicopter concerned their job might be affected.

Congressman Mac Thornberry toured the facilities yesterday and brought good news.  According to him the business is going to remain steady at both companies.  Pantex will adjust some accounts and it is hoped this will keep the company from furloughing employees.

As for Bell Helicopter, even though orders for the V-22 Osprey have been cut the company expects to make up the shortfall with private business.

There are more than 5,000 defense related jobs in our area.
