I know this isn't any great revelation but it's hot.  Stinky hot.  If your air conditioner isn't cutting the heat, it's time to get it looked at.

Your air conditioner is only good for twenty degrees below the outside temperature.  That means when it is 100, you'll only get down to 80 inside efficiently.  You can run it and run it but that costs a ton of money.

When you drop that thermostat during the day to below 20 degrees the ambient temperature and then forget to raise it when you go to sleep you run the risk of freezing the unit and being without cooling for hours and sometimes days.

If you aren't getting the performance you need it is time to get your air conditioner serviced.  If you haven't changed your filter in awhile you should.  It is easy to do and doesn't usually require tools.  Do it every three months.

And fans never hurt!
