The Borger Police Department has made an arrest in the burglary of a jewelry store.

Borger Police responded to a burglar alarm at Jim's Diamond Shop in the 500 block of North Main Street around 1:30am Tuesday.  Upon arrival the officers found someone had broken into the store and damaged display cases and stolen jewelry.  The store's owner arrived a short time later and after an inventory confirmed there was around $25,000 in jewelry missing.

Borger police canvassed the area while the scene was processed.

Gray County Deputies from the Gray County Sheriff's Department and officers from Pampa pulled over a suspect vehicle.  A K9 Unit was called to assist with the search.  Inside the car officers found marijuana and arrested the juvenile suspect for Possession.

During the Borger Police\'s investigation the juvenile confessed to the burglary in Borger and gave the officers information leading to the recovery of the stolen jewelry.
