Most people spent Easter Sunday at church and with their families.  Others trafficked drugs.

Around 3:20pm Sunday a DPS trooper pulled over a 2014 Ford Fusion on I-40 for a traffic violation.  The stop was executed near Bushland.  During the stop the trooper discovered more than 30 pounds of marijuana and two pounds of hashish collectively valued at over $200,000.  The drugs were found in the back seat and trunk.

The driver was identified as Amy Aiko Suyama, 53 of Sebastopol, CA.

Suyama was arrested for possession of marijuana over five but less than 50 pounds, possession of a controlled substance over 400 grams and was booked into Potter County.

The drugs were allegedly being transported from Santa Fe, NM. with a final destination of Houston.
