Amarillo Road Closings

The weather is turning progressively cooler but there is still plenty of roadwork going on around the area.

Here are areas to avoid if you can and if not, plan extra time.

On I-27 the south ramp and frontage road from I-40 east will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday from 12am to 8am for unit deck poor.

On I-40 closures in both directions from Eastern to Pullman for patching and edge repair.

On Thursday the intersection of South Western and Loop 335 will be closed from 8:30am to 4pm to set bridge beams.

On Saturday the intersection of South Western and Loop 335 will be closed from 7:30am to 3pm to set bridge beams.

On I-40 at Loop 335 the east and west inside lanes and the westbound frontage roads between Loop 335 and Helium road will be closed.

On I-40 the inside east and west left lanes between Nelson Street and I-27 will be closed throughout November to allow crews to safely make shoulder repairs.

On I-40 the right east and west lanes of I-40 will be closed at Eastern and Coulter streets to place erosion control mats.

On Loop 335 southbound, expect a right lane closure between Legend and Tarter to last through the end of the month.
