Amarillo police are still investigating a Saturday home invasion.

Around 6pm Saturday evening at a home in the 1300 block of South Parker Street was the scene of a home invasion.  There was a man and woman, both 27 home at the time.

The woman went to answer the door when two white males known to the victims, pushed their way in.

According to the victims one of the men was armed with a handgun and asked, "Where is it?"  He then began firing the gun and struck the woman in the leg.  Both men then fled the scene.

The victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance.  The injury is serious but not considered life threatening.

Investigating officers found six spent .45 cartridge casings in the entry area.  They also found narcotics and paraphernalia inside the home.

Police say the suspects could be in a newer white Chevrolet with black rims and tinted windows.  The pair are currently wanted by police.
