Amarillo Police Find Armed Felon During Search For Convicted Felon
Yesterday Amarillo Police searching for a wanted felon stumbled into a dangerous situation.
Police went to a home in the 4600 block of South Ong searching for a wanted felon. They knocked on the door and a man answered. Inside police could clearly see a rifle and body armor inside.
The man who answered the door, 30-year-old Coury O'Neill was taken into custody. Officers obtained a search warrant for the home. Along with the rifle and body armor they found unspecified drugs and drug paraphernalia inside.
O'Neill was booked into Randall County on a warrant for aggravated assault along with being charged for drug and weapons crimes.
