Amarillo Police Arrest Man Wanted In Attempted Robbery Of Elderly Woman

The man wanted for attempting to rob an elderly woman on September 25th is now in custody.

40-year old Fabian Mell Royval was arrested yesterday around 2pm at a residence in the 200 block of North Mississippi Street.  Roval was found hiding in the attic of the home.  He was booked on a warrant for aggravated robbery.

Royval is accused of pointing a handgun at woman in her 70's in the parking lot of the United Market Street.  He demanded money, she told him she didn't have any money and threatened to kick him if he didn't leave her alone.

Police were acting on a tip that Royval was at the residence.  A woman accused of helping to hide him is also facing charges.
