The Amarillo SWAT team arrested a man Wednesday after a domestic dispute turned violent.

30-year-old Javier Delgado was allegedly in an argument with the victim.  The victim fled Delgado and sought refuge in a back house on the property.  The Delgado allegedly poured gasoline on the back house and threatened to set it afire if the victim did not come out.

When officers arrived Delgado went to the front house of the property and refused commands to surrender.  The victim was moved safely away and was not injured.

The authorities determined Delgado had outstanding warrants, one in Potter County for Criminal Mischief and two with the City of Amarillo.  The APD called in SWAT.  Delgado surrendered a short time later and was arrested for Aggravated Assault and the warrants.  He was booked into the Potter County Detention Center.
