Amarillo City Attorney Resigns Due To City Council Turmoil

City of Amarillo City Attorney Marcus Norris has submitted his two weeks resignation.

Norris says he cannot ethically represent the City of Amarillo any longer.

Many controversial issues led to the resignation.  Downtown revitalization and the construction of the mule-purpose entertainment venue.

Norris believes the moment has come where he doesn't believe his integrity and services are a good match for the city any longer.

Norris would like to stay in the area and is currently looking for a job in Amarillo.
