Accident On Highway 136 Kills One

One Monday a semi truck and a passenger car collided on Highway 136.

The accident happened around 2:45pm about nine miles south of Fritch.  Contessa Marie Ward, 30 of Fritch was pronounced dead by JP Gary Jackson.

According to reports a 2005 Frieightliner tractor-trailer was traveling south on Highway 136.  The passenger car driven by Ward, a 2004 Chevrolet passenger car was traveling north when it crossed the center divider line into the opposite lane of traffic.  The two vehicles struck head-on.
