The WRCA, one of the biggest events each year in Amarillo signed a deal yesterday to keep the rodeo in Amarillo for three more years.

The Chamber of Commerce estimates the three day event brings in about $2 million in economic revenue.  That number includes money spent at restaurants, hotels and other businesses.

The WRCA agreement was signed with the Amarillo Civic Center and the Amarillo Convention and Visitors Council.  The contract includes 2013, 2014 and 2015.

The WRCA has been held in Amarillo for 17 years.
