SPRING, Texas (AP) — Authorities are investigating after finding a woman and her adult daughter dead inside their home in Spring while doing a welfare check.

Harris County sheriff's deputies discovered the bodies Thursday of the 75-year-old woman and her 52-year-old daughter. Neighbors had not seen the women for several days.

Autopsies have been scheduled for both. Sgt. Ben Beall tells the Houston Chronicle (http://bit.ly/18SvjSx ), "There appears to be some trauma, but they have also been deceased for several days."

Beall says there were no signs of forced entry and the home was still locked. Detectives say a pickup belonging to the younger woman was missing.

Deputies were last at the home on Oct. 16 to investigate a family disturbance case.
