Whistling can be pretty useful.  It can be a catcall, a warning and it can alert the kids.  It can also be a talent that gets you booked on talk shows.

Although I've been known to whistle I find the habit highly annoying.  Other than talking loudly on the phone, someone whistling in my vicinity usually draws a good amount of ire.

But some folks spend a good amount of time perfecting the craft and turning their mouth and lips into a virtual instrument.  There are many great whistlers you can check out online today.

But some people take it to an even greater level and end up on daytime talk shows.  Like the guy in the following video.  I'm afraid to guess how many hours it took to get good at this:
