There are many issues on the ballot for the November elections.  Add a possible sales tax for the unincorporated areas of Potter County to the list.

The main areas affected include the Bushland area, River Road, Highland Park and anything west of Soncy.

The current sales tax in the city limits is 8.25%.  Currently in the unincorporated areas it is at 6.25%.  If approved the measure would add a 2% increase to the unincorporated sales tax.

The money is earmarked for law enforcement, road and bridge expenses and firefighter equipment.
