Two Patients In Amarillo Being Monitored For Ebola

A woman and her child traveled from Liberia in West Africa arrived in Amarillo on Monday.

Tuesday the child began running a fever as as a precaution both patients were admitted to Northwest Texas Hospital.  As a precaution both patients are in isolation.

Public health officials have been preparing for this potential episode since September and say they are ready.

The only way to contract the virus is with exposure to bodily fluids.
