Traffic Stop On I-40 Nets 75 Pounds Of Marijuana
A Sunday traffic stop on I-40 led to the discovery of 75 pounds of marijuana.
At around 5pm a DPS tropper pulled over a 2013 Freel Motor home on I-40 for a traffic violation. The vehicle was traveling east on the interstate and was pulled over near the city in Potter County.
The trooper conducted a search of the vehicle and discovered 64 bundles of marijuana in the roof air conditioning unit. The estimated value of the haul was $337,000.
Jonna S Maceda, 40 from Anaheim, California and 32 year old Linda Thi Nguyen of El Monte, California were both placed under arrest for possession of marijuana, a second degree felony and booked into Potter County.
