Trade-A-Thon, The Groundhog, And A Colonoscopy
While the groundhog got a few more days rest many shadows were heard on Trade-A-Thon presented by Damron’s Pawn on Saturday.
At News Talk 940 we make available to you our powerful and over driven 5000 watt blowtorch for you to list for sale whatever it is in your life you no longer want with the exception of smoke wagons and people. This public service airs Saturday’s from nine to noon.
THE BIG QUESTION
Groundhog Day is this Friday and wanted to know your prediction on whether the popular woodchuck would see his shadow, would not see his shadow, and would he finally bit the fingers of one of his handlers for putting him through the whole dog and pony, or rodent show.
Will the groundhog see his shadow?
Another question controversy. Whatever your prediction, you’d have to agree that six more weeks of the weather we’ve been having wouldn’t be all that bad, provided we could get a little moisture.
We go over the rules of the program at the beginning of each hour. It helps everyone from the uninitiated to the frequent caller. Along with the five regular rules of the program, I always give you a special Rule #6 that changes every week. It is usually inspired by something that happened to me over the previous week.
As a colon cancer survivor, I’ve been dealing with regular colonoscopies since 2010. Last week I had my final one before being declared in remission. I used to be afraid of colonoscopies but one saved my life. If you are 50 or over and never had one, it’s time to speak to your doctor and get one done.
Rule #6 No wagering on Trade-A-Thon, apply Trade-A-Thon only to affected areas, and don’t be afraid to get your colonoscopy.
See you this Saturday after we see whether if the groundhog got back in his hole of if someone finally shot the varmint and properly disposed of perhaps the most useless holiday on the calendar.
