Trade-A-Thon Found Time To Grill This Summer

Wants ads on the radio ruled the day once again on Saturday.

We do The Erwin Pawn Trade-A-Thon Saturday mornings from 9-Noon.  It's want ads called in by our listeners and you are invited to do so this next weekend.  Sell the stuff you no longer need for the money you do.

THE BIG QUESTION

We ask all our callers a poll question before they give their listing.  It helps us get to know them a little better and provides a theme that ties all our calls together.

We're about a month away from Labor Day and the unofficial end of summer.  That means grilling season is about to come to an end.  We were wondering if you had a chance to cookout this summer.

Looks like most of our callers have taken advantage of the warm weather and the chance to not heat up the house by cooking indoors.  Thanks to living in an apartment, I haven't grilled in 15 years.

RULE #6

We go over the rules of the program at the beginning of each hour.  This way everybody knows how it works.  I also bring you a special Rule #6 that changes every week.  It is usually inspired by something that happened to me over the previous week.

I was cleaning and oiling a couple of knives last week and I was also writing some things for the station.  I had a thought I wanted to jot down but my hands were far too messy to do so.  I didn't want to get up and properly wash my hands, I wasn't done cleaning and oiling.  That's when I noticed the window cleaner on my desk and thought to give it a shot.  It got my hands clean enough to write down what I was thinking and to inspire a new rule for the show.

Rule #6 Glass cleaner can be used as a hand cleaner and to spot clean other areas of the body.

Although I wouldn't use it "all over", if you know what I mean.
