Tornadoes Touch Down In The Dallas/Fort Worth Area

There have been tornadoes touching down in the Dallas/Fort Worth area today. The damage estimates are still being reported, but we have footage of the funnel cloud on the ground.

You can clearly see the tornado tossing tractor trailers like they were weightless and the aftermath is clearly devastating. We have already had some quite severe weather this year and we have not even officially made it to summer.

Does this make for bad news in Amarillo, seeing as we are directly in tornado alley? It has been quite some time since Amarillo was last hit with a tornado, and I hope that this year does not break that streak. Regardless, what are you doing to prepare for the severe weather season?
