‘Toddlers & Tiaras’ Mom Sues Media For Sexualizing Her Daughter

Isabella Barrett is a 5-year-old glam princess seen on 'Toddlers & Tiaras'.  You know, the show that sexualizes young girls in the name of beauty pageants.

I've seen fleeting moments of 'Toddlers & Tiaras'.  Enough to confirm my opinion of these beauty pageants; while perhaps unintended, they sexualize the participants.  The whole idea disgusts me and is repugnant.

I guess I'm in the minority because these things seem to be wildly popular.  The television show is hard to ignore.  Much like a popular pop song it is everywhere you turn, covered in media and promoted across many networks.

Forgive me then for being a bit stunned at news today that the mother of Isabella is suing several media outlets like TMZ and the Huffington Post for sexualizing her daughter.  Apparently there's a video out there of Isabella singing LMFAO's "I'm Sexy And I Know It".  Said video being posted, reported and commented on by the now defendant media outlets.  For $30 million dollars.

Next up the parents of Tom Brady are suing ESPN for afluencing him.
