It's National Red Cross month and the Texas Panhandle Chapter has several events planned for the month.

If you've ever thought of volunteering with The Red Cross now is the time to act on that idea.  The Texas Panhandle Chapter of the American Red Cross will offer a series of disaster preparation training events.  These will include a new volunteer orientation, disaster services orientation and sheltering fundamentals.

The events will be held March 15th at the Fiona City Hall, April 12th in Vega with the location to be determined and May 17th at Dumas High School.

The new volunteer orientation will include learning the history of the Red Cross and the future of the organization.
