Here’s a look at some of the numbers from the space shuttle program.

The space shuttle program cost taxpayers $93 per year.

The U.S. has spent $196 billion on the program over its lifetime.

The shuttle orbited the earth 20,000 times.

It will cost $64 million per astronaut to ride Russia’s Soyuz spacecraft to the ISS.

In 2010 there were 16,613 jobs related to the space program, the number expected to drop by 2,000 by the end of the year.
