The Salvation Army Christmas Assistance Program is Taking Applications

Each year the Salvation Army offers assistance to families around the area for Christmas.  This year that is no different.  If you or someone you know needs assistance during the holidays, then please encourage them to sign up for the Salvation Army Christmas Assistance program.

I am sure you are familiar with the Angel Tree program.  It is where you go and pick an angel off the tree and then go and buy gifts for that one angel.  Well this is part of the Christmas assistance program.

The Salvation Army Christmas Assistance program serves the Potter, Randall, Armstrong, Carson and Oldham Counties.

They are currently accepting applications for the Amarillo and Canyon Areas.  The Salvation Army will accept applications this week through October 23rd, and November 2nd-6th. The times they will accept applications will be Monday - Friday from 8:30am-11:30am and Monday and Thursday evenings, 6-8pm.  Applications can be made at the Salvation Army, at 2101 S. Van Buren here in Amarillo.
