The Erwin Pawn Tradio Show, Reading Books, And Watching Movies

It's classified ads on the radio and we do it every Saturday on The New 940, KIXZ.  During the week we are just like you; reading books and watching movies.

We kick off the show around 9:06 and take calls on pretty much anything except guns and ammunition.  And of course it has to be legal and not stolen.  Distasteful items from our callers are always a matter of perspective.

RULE #6

Along with that pesky 'no guns' rule and a few other specific points, I always bring you a special Rule #6; it changes every week.  It is usually inspired by something that has happened to me over the last week.  This time it was a conversation I was had with the maintenance man at my apartment.  One of the employees of the apartment office, a fairly young person, quit his job and sold his stuff to pursue a music career in Nashville.

Rule #6: Follow your dream before you are smart enough to know better.

THE BIG QUESTION

Katilyn G. came up with 'The Big Question' this week.  We were discussing a movie that fell far short of the book on which it was based.

Would you rather watch a movie or read a book?

It was a pretty even split but reading won the day.  Reading being such a solitary activity and having a significant other and daughter to entertain, I'm watching more movies lately.  I do prefer to read a book.
