The Erwin Pawn Trade-A-Thon Picked The Cowboys

Another Saturday of buying, selling and trading is behind us.  Actually, seven years of bringing buyers and sellers together is in the books.

It's the show where you can buy and sell pretty much anything.  It's hard to believe but we celebrated seven years of our brand of want ads on the radio.  We've had a great time doing it for you and we're ready to go seven more!

THE BIG QUESTION

We ask all our callers a poll question before they give their items.  It provides a bit of 'stream of consciousness' during the show and we might learn a little about you in the process.

Sunday the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Texans squared off in the battle for Texas.  This time around, the Cowboys won the game and The Governor's Cup in overtime 20-17.  On Saturday we were curious who you thought would win.

Who will win the Governor's Cup, Dallas, Houston or don't care?

Our callers were a bit more confident than the final score reflects but it was a good game and now the Governor's Cup goes back where it belongs, in Valley Ranch.

RULE #6

Along with the regular rules of the program, I always bring you a special rule #6.  It is usually inspired by something that has happened to me or around me the previous week.

This week, I had Ebola on the brain.  Having a patient in Dallas is just too close for me.  It got me to thinking about the best way for everyone to avoid getting sick.

Rule 6: Wash your hands six times per day and avoid touching your face.
